My friend and I interviewed the late great visionary artist Paul Laffoley on a local radio show we were producing. I forget if it was the anniversary of his father's death, or if it was his father's birthday, but he wanted to channel the spirit of his father through mediumship to ask him what was in the notes of Leonard T. Troland that had been lost due to not having been written on acid free paper. His father worked at Harvard and had knew Troland, had access to his work, and Paul believed it had something to do with what he called "mind physics." Paul, a lifelong Bostonian, and his family had a long history of involvement with the Spiritualist church; a new religious movement with a strong focus on mediumship and seances with a strong concentration in New England.
So that's where I pulled this sample from. It was truly one of the strangest experiences in my life.
